Below left is a photograph of the barred spiral galaxy NGC 613. 65 million light years way and 100,000 light years in diameter, it contains about
200 billion stars, many of which are solar systems like our own. Below right is the Tadpole Galaxy. About 420 million light years away, it also
contains billions of solar systems and has a tail 200,000 light years long, possibly caused by the gravitational pull of an intruder galaxy.
